The team

Five of us across two clinics. Everyone is registered with the relevant UK regulator and insured, and everyone still treats every day; nobody here has retired to the office.

Ruth Calloway treating a patient
Kendal and Ambleside

Ruth Calloway, MSc

Registered osteopath and chartered physiotherapist. Clinical lead.

Ruth trained as a physiotherapist first and as an osteopath second, and treats with both in mind. She spent eight years in a hospital orthopaedic team before opening Fennick in 2015. Fell runner, slowly.

Sam Okafor treating a patient
Kendal

Sam Okafor

Chartered physiotherapist. Sports and after surgery.

Sam runs the rehabilitation gym in Kendal and looks after most of the post-operative knees and shoulders. Works alongside two local orthopaedic surgeons who send their patients here for rehab.

Ellie Braithwaite treating a patient
Ambleside

Ellie Braithwaite

Chartered physiotherapist and registered osteopath.

Ellie leads the Ambleside clinic. Climbers, walkers and the people who work in the hotels and on the boats, whose bodies are their livelihood. Special interest in shoulders and the jaw.

Jonas Reidel treating a patient
Kendal and Ambleside

Jonas Reidel, BSc

Chartered physiotherapist. Backs, necks and headaches.

Jonas splits the week between both clinics and sees most of the acute backs. Trained in medical acupuncture. Cycles between the two clinics when the weather allows, which is not often.

Megan Tully treating a patient
Kendal

Megan Tully

Pelvic health physiotherapist.

Megan runs the pelvic health service from a private room at Kendal: pregnancy, after birth, incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain, for women and men. Referrals come from the midwives and from patients who have waited too long to ask.
